For the last several months, a group of Ham Radio Operators and local key people have been working to find a spot and secure equipment for a new, wide coverage repeater near Branson that would serve the area well. Others such as David Tarr have been helping write grants to secure funding needed for the project as well!

We are possibly just a month or two away from being able to install the antenna and coax on the tower and get the groundwork installed! We are required by the tower owner to use their tower crew that they have used in the past. Unfortunately, we can’t do the work for ourselves.

We need to raise $4033 to buy the antenna and pay for the tower work.

SMARC put a donation container this past Saturday (06/03/2023) at their Hamfest in Springfield to help get the repeater on the air. Thank you for the support you all showed at the event. $280 was raised at this event.

If 162 people could/ would donate $25 toward the project, we’d be fully funded and able to order the antenna and secure the tower crew to do the work.

The tower site is secured, the frequency coordinated, and the repeater, duplexer, coax and accessories are already on hand. We need the local amateur community to help us get to the finish line.
