Richard Wood was laid to rest on March 29th, 2023. He was a well-respected business owner and community leader of Houston Mo where he had lived for over 35 years. He was instrumental in developing the 49-repeater system to bring weather spotting and storm safety to a higher level in southwest Mo. He continued to serve as assistant fire chief of Houston Mo Rural Fire Dept until the time of his death. He was well known for his amazing pizzas and delicious fried chicken. Richard was a spiritual man who devoted himself to helping others and being the best person, he could be. His visitation was busy with so many people coming out to pay their respect. It was evident he had impacted many lives. The love that was shown on this day by all will be talked about for years to come.
